There are some things in the world that make life just that little bit more sparkling, like animals doing cute things (see Puppy Bowl above), watching the sunset on a beach, the smell of baking, that Friday feeling, and of course Ms Ellen Degeneres.
Ellen’s latest book is a collection of random observations about a wide variety of subjects, and insights into her life, loves, and dislikes. In her words:
“Inside this book you will find an assortment of wonderful things – words, pictures, advice, tidbits, morsels, shenanigans, and, in some copies, four hundred dollars cash. So you might want to buy a few”
There are chapters about meditation, kale, manners (and the lack thereof in modern society – a subject dear to my heart!), babies and so much more, all dressed up in Ellen’s distinctive witty style and pizzazz. In short, it is hysterically funny and made me laugh so much that I snorted, which to me is the ultimate sign of high quality humour!
One of the great things about Ellen, which is clear in this book and on her talk show, is her positivity and her dedication to making the world a better place, encouraging her readers and viewers to just be kinder to each other. Simple, and effective.
